Description
With beyond 5 star service and facilities, an unrivalled snow-sure and slope-side location at the heart of the world-famous Arlberg ski area, and a pedigree in the history of skiing that is unequalled worldwide, the Arlberg Hospiz is not only a wonderful place to visit; it should also be on the “must stay” list of any serious skier.
The Hospiz was originally built at a shelter for travellers crossing the Arlberg Pass in 1386 and the current hotel, now a tad more luxurious, sits on exactly the same spot. It was here, too, in January 1901 that four skiers met to establish the Arlberg Ski Club, a body responsible more than any other for developing Alpine skiing from the early years and its rapid spread worldwide.
But guests today will be most interested in the luxury of the Hospiz, it’s wonderful rooms and suites, it’s exceptional restaurant – awarded a very high two toques by the Gault Millau gourmet guide – and its incredible 5* diamond award-winning wine cellar.
You’ll also want to enjoy the vast spa, with its Finnish sauna, bio sauna and a steam bath among its many facilities, and the wide-ranging massage treatment menu available.
This is one of the few luxury ski hotels that truly has it all.
